Amber Lights Beeswax Candles

November 1, 2025

Our friend Clark has turned what used to be a family hobby into a full-time business. In his Longmont studio, he makes a delightful cast beeswax candles that come in a wonderful variety of shapes and sizes, including a number of designs that are cast in antique and modern European candle molds. In addition, we are offering Amber Lights hand-dipped beeswax taper candles and Hanukkah candles.

Amber Lights candles are highly decorative, wonderfully detailed, naturally endowed with a heavenly honey scent, and burn clean and smokeless.

Hanukkah begins Wednesday, December 14th. A set of dripless, smokeless, hand-dipped beeswax candles from Amber Lights contains all the candles you’ll need to light the Menorah through the entire 8-day holiday. And they smell wonderful! And they come in a lovely blue mesh bag. And they are Local. And if you have no use for Hanukkah candles, we have everything from birthday candles to 6″ pillars, bee-skeps to Buddha heads, Deco to dragons, reindeer to roses, all beautifully crafted from our friend Clark at Amber Lights.

Edible & Medicinal Plants of the Southern Rockies

November 4, 2025

Don’t be fooled by the title; a lot of the area covered is in Colorado, including Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins. This is a very good plant ID book from by Mary O’Brien and Karen Vail with interesting descriptions. In addition, it’s an excellent herbal, giving both medicinal and edible uses. Highlighted in yellow are important “cautions”. It is presented in a respectful way honoring nature as did the Ute Indians who pioneered the use of these plants. For example, did you know that Gambel Oak “…is a good back country first aid plant to know, using the leaves as a poultice or wash for insect bites and wounds, or chewing a piece of the bark for toothaches….”  Good photos. These local gals really know their stuff and we highly recommend their book!

Amethyst Clusters

November 10, 2025

Amethyst Clusters are said to calm the mind, to deepen spiritual connection, and even to strengthen the immune system. They are often used in Feng Shui to clear negative emotions. We think these hand-selected clusters look great on a windowsill among houseplants!

Atelier Foucault

November 5, 2025

We are very excited to feature Marie Foucault-Phipps’ stunning, intriguing, and elegant glass tableware again!  When I came upon her work, I found it entirely unlike anything I had seen before. Using a technique that dates as far back as 9th century Turkey, Marie paints her
original designs with ‘Silver Stain’ (silver oxide) on clear glass pieces. They are then fired in a kiln and emerge with a rich and exciting color palette ranging from yellows, golds, and browns to deep coppery oranges, and molten reds!  She describes it as “a wild medium, not reliable, and always surprising” and says she enjoys “exploiting its freedom”.  You will love her tableware and other pieces!

Marie studied Stained Glass Conservation in Paris and became an accomplished conservator of historical stained-glass art across France and the U.S., where she relocated to Colorado in 1984. An accomplished glass painter, Marie freelanced for other studios while working on her own exhibition glass. She has exhibited around the world with the Women’s International Glass Workshop to places such as Japan, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Wales, France, and Golden, Colorado!

Colorado Smell Goods – Candles

November 18, 2025

Morgan started Colorado Smell Goods because of her passion at curating spaces for enjoyment…through scent. She settled on coconut wax because it creates a sustainable and luxury candle experience with consistent results, incredible scent throw (that’s how well the smell fills your room) and a clean burn. It’s eco-friendly, all parts of coconuts are used in production, she can support small farms, it’s biodegradable, non-toxic and vegan. These candles are toxic-free.

November 18, 2025

As an entomologist, Deane has been fascinated by insects since she was young.  Discovering the potential of clay in a pottery class, she began exploring clay for making insect sculptures.  She uses inspiration from the insect world to design sculptures based on real insects, but which are much embellished from her imagination.

These insects are designed to be outside ornaments and can also be displayed indoors.

Julie Neri Pottery

November 5, 2025

Years ago, Julie and Eve were classmates at the Boulder Potters Guild. Julie’s passion for clay subsequently led her to create her own home studio in Longmont, where she applies her hand-building skills and sense of whimsy to making delightful decorative and functional pieces.

Now a Guild member and a teacher there, Julie says “I am drawn to texture and find my roots coming through in my work. I am inspired by nature and by the patterns of repetition: the simplicity of a house, the design formed by bicycle gears, the delicate texture in a leaf, the rolling rocks in a rambling stone wall, and the ridges on a sea turtle’s shell.”

This year, Julie will bring us her new work, including vases, cone trees, sculpture, bowls and earrings!

Wax Crescent Candles

November 10, 2025

Our scented and poured candles are from Longmont resident Kym Terribile, who started making candles when she found out that the candles she was burning were full of toxic chemicals.

Rejuvenated Remnants

September 28, 2025

Joan Hemm began working with the fabrics found in thrift-store draperies, duvet covers, tablecloths, and sheets in high school where there was no budget for costumes for the drama department’s productions. We first met Joan at a Boulder County Farmer’s Market, where she was dressed in a wonderful period costume portraying Susan B. Anthony in honor of Women’s Suffrage, and armed with voter registration forms. She had, of course, made her costume from remnants.

Fashioned from top quality ‘designer’ home decor fabric remnants (small new, unused leftovers), Joan reimagines the fabrics into one-of-a kind crossbody bags for us. She designed her pattern based on features she personally wanted: a “gusset” to create a roomier interior, a pocket on the back for a cell phone, inside pockets, cotton linings, and an adjustable strap. Just what we all wanted!

Sally Hartshorn Earrings and Scarves

November 13, 2025

Sally Hartshorn fell in love with felting when she saw some inspiring pieces on a trip to Massachusetts, where she grew up. Silk fusion art is an exciting form of felting, which Sally employs to make artful bowls, sculptures, scarves and jewelry.

Sondra Finch Knitwear

November 16, 2025

Sondra joined us late in our 2015 holiday market and her fun, original hand-knitted hats and headbands immediately set off a buying frenzy! Eve gets compliments wherever she goes when she wears the fabulous feathery headband Sondra made, even from strangers on the street!

We’ve stocked up on her pieces this year, including her soft, snuggly hats and headbands, as well as her beautiful pressed-flower botanical cards.

Renee’s Glass

November 10, 2025

Artisan Renée McDougall of Longmont became interested in crafting with glass while working at the Stained Glass Supply Company.  She works mostly in fused glass, a process that can take up to 11 hours from start to finish. Renée uses her home studio for crafting many different glass pieces, from jewelry to bowls, trays and hanging art.

We think her cast glass hanging Green Man will make a lovely addition to any gardener’s window or porch! And again this year, she’s adding a female wood-spirit face to join him.

Kisu Lip Balm – Harlequin’s Exclusive!

November 10, 2025

Created by Pamela Clum’s Plum Botanicals, a small fair-trade organic skin-care line based here in Boulder Valley. This long-lasting lip balm is based on wild-collected African shea butter from a women’s cooperative, and lightly scented with the marvelous, unique, citrus-y essential oil of neroli.

Shea butter is a natural sun-blocker, so it really helps prevent chapping in all seasons. Kisu is still, by far, Eve’s favorite lip balm!

Indigo Blues Shibori & Plant-dyed Clothing

An Anchorage, AK native, she became interested in indigo dyeing at a workshop there and was drawn to its healing and quiet contemplative properties.
