Most positions are from March through October, and we try to be a great place to both learn and work. We are beginning hiring for the 2025 summer months. Our nursery provides a busy, fun and stimulating educational work environment. We’re looking for positive, energetic and dedicated, earth- minded folks who love plants, love people, learn fast, and are dedicated to an organic approach, and want to be part of a successful eco-nursery with a great reputation. Our seasonal positions are great opportunities to learn in a friendly, healthy atmosphere. Experience in nursery or other plant-related work and/or studies is greatly preferred but most important is your can-do attitude, organic commitment and friendly demeanor.
Harlequin’s Gardens is a small family-owned business entering its 33rd year specializing in plants that are natives, Colorado-adapted, water-wise, pollinator safe and supporting, organic veggie and herb starts, berries and fruit trees, and a wide selection of perennials and shrubs. We grow our plants organically and we are the preeminent sustainable gardening center on the Front Range. Harlequin’s Gardens is exploring transitioning to a worker-owned cooperative in the coming years.

Retail Register/Customer ServiceThis position entails standing at the register checking out customers using Square, stocking plants and store products, answering phone calls, opening and closing duties, updating plant descriptions, signs, and assisting customers with plant selection. Plant knowledge and familiarity with botanical names are a plus. This is a great position to learn about Colorado native plants in a lively workplace. Must be able to lift trays of plants and bags of soil. The position will begin in mid-April with training, and end late Aug or early Sept. Weekends required. Along with your resume and brief write-up of why this is a good fit, please include your availability (days of the week). Starting pay $17.50/hr, 3 – 5 days a week including one weekend day a week.
- Wholesale Nursery Plant Care
Plant production, plant care, including planting, transplanting, watering, weeding, labeling, etc. Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, lift trays of plants, help with sales. Starting pay: $17.50/hr, 4 – 5 days a week March – Sep/Oct.
