Seeds to Sow Now, by Eve Reshetnik Brawner

March 3, 2026

Now that we’ve arrived in early March, seed-planting time is here! We’ve got a great selection of vegetable, herb, flower, cover crop and native grass seeds, plus the durable tools, seed-starting and potting soils, perlite, and all the other seed-starting supplies you need. And we have the mild temperatures that make gardening easy; now we just need to add soil fertility amendments and water!

To prepare garden beds, we have A-1 EcoPlus compost and local mushroom compost and EKO Lawn Topdressing in stock, as well as bags of humate, Biochar, expanded shale, squeegee, and Planters Mix. Our soil amendment products also include the best organic fertilizers: Alpha One, Richlawn 5-3-2, and our own Harlequin’s Fertility Mix. Our store is full of products from Happy Frog, Down to Earth, FoxFarm, Neptune’s Harvest and Age Old to give the best organic support for every kind of garden or landscape.

And to top it all off, we’ve got Seed Guard row cover to protect your outdoor seed-beds from disturbance, bales of straw for mulching your vegetable beds and strawberries, fine wood-chip mulch and squeegee (fine gravel) for your perennial, shrub and tree plantings   and gardens paths.

Sow direct outdoors:

Arugula ‘Astro’
