ROSES – 2024 Spring Newsletter

We are known far and wide for our selection of sustainable roses and for our expertise in helping people choose the best varieties for their gardens and landscapes. We sell roses on their own roots not grafted, which makes them more cold hardy, longer lived, with more flowers.

Below is a list of Roses we often have available.

 

 

Climbers:

Darlow’s Enigma

Above and Beyond- apricot flowers 9’-12’, disease resistant, cold hardy

Zephirine Drouhin- 10’ rosy pink flowers that are fragrant and thornless, for a protected spot

Darlow’s Enigma- 12’, small, single white and fragrant, can get wide; very showy

Victorian Memory-12’-15’, medium pink, fragrant, nearly thornless, very hardy

 

Canadian Roses:

AC Navy Lady- deep red, 2’-3’, very hardy  Zone 4

Campfire- 3’ yellow-edged pink, long-blooming; very hardy Zone 3

Emily Carr- true red, 4’, disease-free, long blooming ; very hardy

William Baffin-strawberry pink, 8’, very showy, very hardy to zone 2

 

David Austin Roses:

Abraham Darby

Abraham Darby- very double apricot-pink, strong fruity fragrance, hardy

Benjamin Britten- pink-red, very double, very fragrant, healthy, 4’

Crown Princess Margareta- apricot, very double, fragrant, healthy

Golden Celebration- double rich gold, 6’-12’, delicious fragrance

 

Heirloom Roses:

Autumn Damask-first repeat blooming rose, clear pink, richly fragrant used in perfume/medicine

Banshee-very double, very fragrant, 10’, spring blooming, tough

Broadway Perpetual-6’, very fragrant, deep pink, very tough, repeats

Desiree Parmentier-4’x6’, very double, very fragrant, orchid pink, spring blooming, very tough, shade tolerant

 

Modern Patio Roses:

Bonica- soft pink, disease resistant, orange hips, 3’-4’, good repeat

Bridal Sunblaze-1’-2’, white with yellow center, double, long-blooming

Brilliant Veranda-3’-4’ bright red-orange, long blooming

Diamond Eyes- deep red purple, fragrant, long blooming

 

Other Roses:

Double Knock Out

Burgundy Iceberg-3’-5’, dark burgundy, long-blooming

Carefree Spirit- 4’-6’, single red, long-blooming, disease-resistant

Double Knock Out- 3’-4’, red, disease resistant, long-blooming

Ebb Tide- deep purple, 3’-4’ very fragrant, long blooming

Mondays, CLOSED

The plants we grow are organically grown. All the plants we sell are free of bee-killing neonicotinoid pesticides.
