At Harlequin’s Gardens, we love to celebrate May Day. It is an ancient festival welcoming Spring and celebrating the beauty, fertility, and abundance of the earth.
At our May Day Festivals, we bring you beautiful, authentic music and dance that you’re unlikely to hear elsewhere, all from top-notch, talented local players including the Maroon Bells Morris Dancer, Benjamin J. Allen, Nicolette Andres, and Tea at Six!
SATURDAY MAY 2
10 am – 11 am – The Maroon Bells Morris Dancers will dance
to bring in a year of fertility and good ale!
11 am – 12:30 am – Benjamin J. Allen, master of the Uilleann (Irish) Pipes,
plays reels, marches, jigs and airs
1 pm – 2:30 pm – Nicolette Andres returns to play Traditional Norwegian
and original tunes on Hardanger Fiddle
SUNDAY MAY 3
1:30 pm – 3 pm – Tea at Six Trad Irish music trio with Cora Weiss Moore on Irish Harp,
Dylan Butler on guitar and more, and Janelle Shane on Irish flute
