Delectable Treats

Eve’s Pecan Shortbread Cookies – Harlequin’s Exclusive!

Back (every year!) by popular demand: Scrumptious, rich, melt-in-your-mouth grain-free shortbread cookies, based on almond flour, pecans, and butter, subtly sweetened with a little maple syrup. Gluten-free, grain-free, mostly organic, no refined sugars. You don’t have to be gluten-sensitive to love these rich and satisfying cookies!  These cookies will keep for a long time in your freezer or fridge (as long as nobody finds them!)

Eve has just replenished her stock!

Cultura Chocolate

A Denver-based, micro-batch, bean-to-bar artisan chocolate, Cultura is produced in Denver and woman-owned. They use only beans from ethically sourced and organic cacao farms in Latin America, which they hand sort, crack, roast, winnow, grind, conche, temper and mold to bring out the richest aromas and flavors and the smoothest textures.

We are offering their superlative chocolate bars in multiple flavors and sizes, as well as their delicious Mexican style Sipping Chocolate!

Haystack Gardens Fruit Preserves – Harlequin’s Exclusive!

Many of you already know that our own Engrid Winslow makes jams and jellies that make you close your eyes and sigh with pleasure. She uses fresh fruit, (local and organic whenever possible) and very little sugar, so the fruit flavors shine. She makes the classics as well as many delicious originals, like Pear with Vanilla Bean, and Blueberry Lemonade, to name just a couple.

You’ll find delicious uses for Engrid’s preserves, in breakfasts, hors d’oeuvres, salad dressings, glazes, and desserts. This years flavors include Apricot, Apricot & Cocoa Nibs, Apricot Rosemary, Berry Blend, Black Raspberry, Ginger Peach Marmalade, Green Tomato Apple Chutney, Hot Pepper Jelly, Marionberry, Peach, Pear & Vanilla Bean, Raspberry Peach, Santa Rosa Plum, Sour Cherry, Strawberry, and Strawberry Rhubarb,!

New Beat Quinoa Crackers

Trish Kurnik is a Longmont neighbor and friend of ours, who in 2005, was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. She had to learn how to cook, bake and live without gluten. But she was up to the challenge, and not only felt 500% better after 2 gluten-free weeks, but laid the foundation for later launching into her handmade, artisan cracker business – Beat Foods. These crackers are fabulous!

Based on quinoa flour (complete protein, packed with fiber and gluten-free), New Beat crackers are thin and crispy, local, organic, nutritious, gluten-free, versatile and absolutely delicious!  We are offering their Sesame Swing, Trio, and Play it Straight flavors.

Paula B’s Honey – NEW!

Paula Breymeier has been keeping bees in Boulder County for eleven years. Her father was a beekeeper and she learned from him. Her hives are currently located out by Rte. 287 between Isabelle and Jasper, a rich agricultural area with alfalfa, open space wildflowers and Russian olive trees. Paula’s delicious honey is amber in color with the sweet clean flavors of our Colorado fields. It has a clean and creamy taste with notes of cinnamon and wildflowers. The honey is natural, raw and unheated so its rich flavor, allergenic and antibiotic properties are retained. Perfect to sweeten your tea or use on your toast. And a spoonful a day is a great way to reduce your local seasonal allergies!

Tasting samples are available.  We have 22 oz. pints as well as half and quarter pints available.  Since this is a seasonal product, stock up for the year. Honey never goes bad (2,000-year-old honey was found in the Egyptian pyramids and was still good!). However, over time it will crystalize. You can re-liquify the honey in a warm bath of water that is not over 125 degrees without compromising its beneficial health properties.

Full disclosure: Paula is a member of our family, mother of our precious niece, grandma of our adorable grand nephew!

Robin Chocolate

This year, because of the timing of our Holiday Market, we are unable to bring you Robin’s wonderful, locally-crafted chocolate truffles (they might not stay fresh all the way to Christmas). BUT DON’T DESPAIR!  We are offering Robin’s dark chocolate-drizzled Crystallized Ginger, so scrumptious, and with a longer shelf-life!

St. Clair’s Organic Mints, Candies, Pastilles & Lozenges

Yea – totally organic!  Made by herbalist Debra St. Claire!  No corn syrup! Delicious!  Effective! Packaged in pretty, reusable tins!  Incredibly inexpensive!  Lots of flavors!  Great stocking stuffers!

Seed Ranch Hot Sauces

Seed Ranch Flavors is a small ‘farm to bottle’ small-batch maker of ‘hot’ sauces (one is very mild) in Boulder, the passion of David Delcourt. David uses only non-gmo, gluten-free, organic, natural plant-based ingredients, and his unique, savory sauces are paleo and vegan-friendly.

What really caught our attention was the delicious originality and complexity of the blended flavors, and their versatility – not just for tortilla chips, but in dips, for marinating, glazing or barbecue too!

We carry their amazing new Truffle Hound sauce in its own gift-box, as well as four flavors packaged together in an attractive box. These make great hostess gifts, stocking-stuffers, or components of an all-local specialty food basket!
