1PM – 3PM: Non-Alcoholic Fermented Beverages From Your Garden, with Nicole Morris (2 hour class)

Learn to make non alcoholic beverages including kombucha, water kefir, ginger beer, and beet kvass. Students will be guided through the processes step by step so they can create delicious and healthy drinks at home. Discover the microbes behind these probiotic powerhouses!

If possible, please bring your own jar.

From brewing to gardening to cooking, Nicole has been exploring the edges of our food system for over a decade. Much of her career has been driven by the impact of yeast and bacteria on agriculture and food production, combined with the artistry of creating nutritious (and delicious!) meals for herself and loved ones. As an educator at heart, Nicole is on a mission to empower others to cultivate their own relationship with their food through increased understanding and experimentation. She believes true health and wealth lies in growing and creating our own tasty delights, leading to a more equitable, locally centralized food system.
