This past week we did get significant good news about climate action, and we want to share it with you.
In a landmark case in Montana, judges ruled that youth have a constitutional right to a healthy environment, and the state must now consider climate harm when approving projects including fossil fuel extraction. This is a historic and unprecedented ruling to prevent harm to people and the planet.
And on Sunday, Ecuador’s citizens voted to halt oil drilling and to block mining in a biosphere reserve – widely believed to be the first election anywhere to keep oil in the ground.
