A graceful, tree-like plant to 4’ and sets a bounteous crop of exquisite fruits with superb fruity, sweet flavor and a moderate spicy kick; resembles a bishop’s crown or a bell; great for snacking, marinades, hot sauces, soups, garnishes, jellies, salsas; looks identical to our milder Lanterna Piccante & heatless Cambuci peppers; beautiful in large containers
CHIMAYO – New Again! 65 days, Open-pollinated, 4,000 – 6000 SHU, Capsicum anuum
A famous heirloom New Mexico chile. Medium hot, thin skinned and easy to dry 3-5” long fruit are probably the earliest Southwestern chile to ripen to red; makes some of the best tasting chile powder. LEMON SPICE JALAPENO – New! 65 days, Open-pollinated, 2,500 – 5,000 SHU, Capsicum annuum
All the flavor and medium heat of a green jalapeño with an added citrus undertone. 2-3” x 1” peppers start out green but ripen to bright lemon yellow. Pick at both stages for a colorful salsa or jar of pickled peppers. Sturdy and ornamental plants to 2’ tall are very prolific and covered in sunny color, great for mixed-bed or container.
MAYAN RED HABANERO – New! 90 days, Open-pollinated, 150,000 – 300,000 SHU, Capsicum chinense
The attractive elongated 3-4” fruits of this Mexican heirloom habanero chile ripen to red and have the tasty combination of intense heat and fruitiness sought by habanero lovers. Plants grow to 3’ tall, with good leaf cover for the copious pendant fruits.
PURPLE TIGER – New! 85-90 days, Open-pollinated, 5,000 – 10,000 SHU, Capsicum annuum
Probably the prettiest pepper plants you can grow, with foliage strongly variegated in white, purple and green, and a prolific crop of tasty 1 to 1½”, slightly plump pods ripening to purple, cream and red; moderate heat of 5,000-10,000 Scoville units. 1 ½’ to 2’ plants will brighten up a patio or balcony, a garden bed or a sunny window or greenhouse.

An exceptionally sweet and productive heirloom Polish pepper. 18-24” tall plants produce 4″ long, 3-lobed bell fruits, 3” at the shoulders. Very sweet even when green, unique among bell peppers. Does well in dry climates.

A delicious, very productive, glossy lipstick red pimento-type pepper that performs exceptionally well in cool or hot climates. Very sweet! 12-15” plants are covered with clusters of thick-walled, 2” tapered fruits that change from yellow to orange to red and finally purple; grow in a container, or in a sunny window or greenhouse. The fruits can be eaten raw in salads, for snacks, or garnish, and make tasty, colorful sweet pickles that keep their color, shape, and texture.
