Paula Breymeier has been keeping bees in Boulder County for eleven years. Her father was a beekeeper and she learned from him. Her hives are currently located out by Rte. 287 between Isabelle and Jasper, a rich agricultural area with alfalfa, open space wildflowers and Russian olive trees. Paula’s delicious honey is amber in color with the sweet clean flavors of our Colorado fields. It has a clean and creamy taste with notes of cinnamon and wildflowers. The honey is natural, raw and unheated so its rich flavor, allergenic and antibiotic properties are retained. Perfect to sweeten your tea or use on your toast. And a spoonful a day is a great way to reduce your local seasonal allergies!
Tasting samples are available. We have 22 oz. pints as well as half and quarter pints available. Since this is a seasonal product, stock up for the year. Honey never goes bad (2,000-year-old honey was found in the Egyptian pyramids and was still good!). However, over time it will crystalize. You can re-liquify the honey in a warm bath of water that is not over 125 degrees without compromising its beneficial health properties.
Full disclosure: Paula is a member of our family, mother of our precious niece, grandma of our adorable grand nephew!
