75 days, Open-pollinated, Indeterminate
Deep orange beefsteak fruits are dense, with fabulous sweetness and a richly complex flavor profile, as well as extraordinary velvety texture. Frequently bi-lobed, they average 16-20oz. Though reputedly 150+ years old, Goldie was not introduced commercially until 1977. Harvest when fruit has a distinct rosy blush on the bottom (blossom end). Plants are very productive, and the sturdy indeterminate vines require support. Prune to 1 trunk and no more than 3 main branches for healthy, easily trellised plants. Fruits can catface under cold or excessively wet conditions
