As we embrace this New Year with the hope it carries for calm, peace, unity, and health, we hope that you are doing well, and anticipating the gardening season ahead. Eve has been placing orders to stock our seed racks for you, and gathering seeds from many great sources to grow another season of exciting species and varieties of Harlequin’s starter plants. More on that, below.
We are looking forward to opening our retail store in two short months, on March 4, and will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every Thursday to Sunday throughout March.
We will continue to make your visit to Harlequin’s Gardens as safe and enjoyable as possible. During this early season, we will focus on seeds, seed starting supplies, soils and soil amendments, offering over-wintered plants, and offering a series of on-line ZOOM classes. As more folks are vaccinated and Covid precautions permit, we hope to increase the number of days that we are open. We may offer a new on-line ordering program for those that are immune compromised and cannot visit the nursery in person.
In anticipation of our opening, we’re filling our staff roster, and already have filled one new full-time sales position, Plant Production & Inventory Coordinator, and Office & Staff Coordinator! Still, there are opportunities open including Cashier, Grounds & Garden Maintenance, Mikl’s Assistant, and more Sales & Customer Service positions, for which we hope that you consider applying! Our nursery season begins mid-February and goes through October 31. Some work may continue on a reduced schedule through the winter.
