April 29 – May 7: May Day Celebration and Sales!

There is something special and exciting about the arrival of May. In May, Spring weather may still be variable, but there’s nothing tentative about the progress of growth and flowering. They are unstoppable, full speed ahead!

At Harlequin’s Gardens, we love to celebrate May Day. This ancient festival from the British Isles welcomes Spring and celebrates the beauty, fertility, and abundance of the Earth. For 30 years, Harlequin’s Gardens has maintained a tradition of starting off our May Day festivities with hosting the Maroon Bells Morris Dancers, performing their lively traditional dances with bells, music, knocking sticks and waving scarves to bring forth the Earth’s fertility. The magic seems to work!

It is also a Harlequin’s tradition to host superb, local, live music because live music awakens us to the present moment, because it’s fun and because it is such a treat to be in the presence of artistic talent! Our performers are among Boulder’s most delightful acoustic musicians, and their music will enchant folks of all ages. Sit down to listen, or bop while you shop! See the schedule below.

And because we know you all care deeply for the Earth and want to have the right information to enable and inform your stewardship, we have invited Ecocycle to join us on Saturday May 6th from 10am to 6pm. One of their experts will be here to answer all your questions about recycling and curbside compost collection protocols.

Our MAY DAY PLANT SALE will begin on Saturday April 29 and continue through Sunday May 7.

The main sale consists of a DEEP DISCOUNT SALE SECTION, consisting of a large selection of beautiful perennials, all very significantly marked down. And they are ALL neonic-free!
